“As a supporter of the women cause, I believe that women have suffered historically and currently from marginalization and exclusion.
If we look now at all political discourses and programs of political parties, as well as the programs of political powers, we find that women are present in these discourses only as an audience, and they are only present in political bodies as a decoration, but they are not present in such bodies or discourses as participants, actors or leaders, that’s why, when I saw the program of the Women Political Movement I was among the first people who joined it, because it fills that gap, as it calls for a pluralistic democratic state that ensures full equality among citizens.” Usama Ashour The Syrian Women’s Political Movement member.
