This policy paper aims to review the effects of war economy in Syria on elements that were defined locally as the basic foundations of an economically-safe environment form a women’s perspective. It provides a list of recommendations that help achieve economic security on the personal, communal, and institutional levels. The paper is based on the results of 13 consultation sessions organized by the Syrian Women’s Political Movement (SWPM) between February and April 2020. The sessions were attended by 130 women in 13 different regions inside Syria.
