Policy Brief: Cycles of Injustice, A Syrian Women’s Perspective on Justice

In August 2021, SWPM consulted, in country, with 120 Syrian women from diverse cultural, social, and political backgrounds on justice in Syria. This policy brief presents the five key messages that emerged from these consultations, based on feminist principles of justice and drawing on the SWPM Policy Paper “Justice: A Syrian Women’s Perspective”. In its survey-based study, SWPM examined the overlapping dimensions of (in)justices throughout Syria from the perspective of Syrian women, looking at the societal, gender, legal, political, and economic dimensions.
